Mustangs are great cars, but I would personally build up a Ford Fairmont. A real sleeper. Same chassis but cheaper and lighter weight(even though it may not look it.) ...

I believe you will need to recalibrate your ECM otherwise its caculations would be in error when controlling the larger injectors. Otherwise you probably won't notice any gain in performance at all...

Yeah, the Corvette IRS is as good as any for drag racing.
I believe C5 Vettes have some drivetrain loss due to their rear transaxle, not because of the IRS.
