If I destroked my Chevy 350 to a 327 would It perform the same as my 1967 Chevy 327¿?
Also I watch Nascar every now and then and I hear of RESTRICTOR PLATES alot while i'm watching the race. What is a restrictor plate¿? Is it anything like my Supertrap muffler I have on my dirtbike where I add and remove plates from the muffler to tune my exhaust for more HP¿? Sorry but I am not familiar with restrictor plates since I don't watch Nascar much.
One last thing...since there are a few guys that know "automotive math". What is the equation to determining cubic inch displacement from the bore and stroke size¿?

in nascar i believe a restrictor plate is a piece of metal that sits between the intake and the carb. what it does, it has holes underneath all 4 barrels that are of a size that is smaller than the bore of the carb barrels. and all of these plates are the same.
so basically it restricts how much air can enter into the engine to produce power.

Engine: 350 firebreathing inches of Small Block Chevrolet
Transmission: A 700R4 that has trouble handling the formentioned 350.
OK, the equation looks right for the CID, and that's true about the restrictor plates.
But now on to the destroking a 350 to 327. No don't do it. It will not perform like a 60's 327, because the 327's (I think all, but at least all small journal 327's (early 327's)) had Steel cranks, so you got more horse and the ability to rev. Plus I do beleive the 327's where higher compression than a 350. If you want to screw with the bottom end of your engine go with more stroke not less (383 ). And if you want to make a wierd combo build a Chev 302, take a crank out of a 283 and put it into a 327, and bam 302 that's capable of 10,000 rpm's if built right.
