Probably a corvette, considering they have the vette logo on them.

Thanks 84s/e. Much appreciated.
BUT, any idea what year? I have scoured the Corvette sites for a picture, but can't seem to find them. Have found hundreds more, but not that type! Not even on e-bay.
They must be pre '86 since they are not center bolt.

Anybody got any idea?

Andy.

Hi uk89camaro!

My search continues for these covers! Corvette certainly, but which? What? Where?

I managed to get some 1981 finned alloy corvette covers today (sourced from findit), that will look nice restored and polished on my RS 350! i would like some of those above though!!

Andy.

PS Ignore the "what badge here" question? Already solved that one!

easySPEEDcamaro knows all about those valve covers. He has two sets of them. They are made out of magnesium and were on late 80's Vettes.

If I had to guess, I would say an 85 or an 86 Vette TPI engine, because those appear to be perimeter bolt valve covers. 87+ would be centerbolt.

I have 2 sets of those.

They have two styles. In 1985 they had the perimeter bolt style....

From 1986-1991 they had centerbolt valve covers. The 2 sets I have... one is in the basement almost completely polished, putting that set on my engine.

I also have another set in my room that I am going to sell. I bought them with plans of resale, but they arrived damaged thanks to UPS. I am going to fix them somehow and then sell them if anybody is interested.

Here is the set I am selling...

Here's the damage on them after shipped to my house... I might let them go cheap, depends on what i'll get as insurance from ups, i'll find out this week.

And here's what my polished set of valve covers in my basement looks like, this isn't the picture, but mine look the same...

I have that book. That cover photo is a cutaway for a '85 Corvette engine.
