Re: ISO - SoCal Camaro Restoration Shop Recommendations

If money isn't an issue, try Reiss Racing in Escondido. He's a Camaro guy and can handle this. But it won't be inexpensive to have a shop do that kind of work.

Re: Wheel sizes??

If hitting a few spots with a hammer doesn't count as modding, you can go as wide as 18x11 with the wheels and fit some brands 315/30/18. Far less expensive to stop at 17x9.5 and run a 275/40/17...

Guess I need to keep the Phoenix option in mind when scheduling the racing season past September. I may need to have the cars back in Phoenix by then for the show.

Re: (Not So) Bare Minimum to Give Autox or Track Racing a Shot?

Agreed. My next build may be a C3. Have to decide between that one, the 1st gen, and the 2nd gen. But compared to what was spent building the DSE-Z, a C6 is a bargain.

Hell, the cost of a C6Z when they were new wasn't even close to the cost to build the DSE-Z. Definitely better bang for your buck to buy the C6 than mod a thirdgen.
