Re: EATON POSI vs AUBURN vs TRU TRAC

Just my 2 cents but I wouldn't but much money in a 7.5 axle. Mine finally broke the ring gear after 20 years and at least 75 1/8 mile passes. Only ran 8.20s 1/8 and 1.65 60 ft then.
It had richmond...

Re: walbro 255 fuel pump?

I've had a high press Walbro 255 in my supercharged Integra GS-R for 9 years. No problems in 70,000 miles. It regularly sees 60+ psi.

Re: Corvette 2-4 servo install help

I can get my servo out by removing the cross-member. Use a jack to lower the trans. A few inches is all it takes.

Re: Nitrous and race fuel

FWIW,
I've been running .052 to a .063 nitrous jet (150-175ish hp) through a wet plate with a miniram(which I know is dangerous) for almost 20 years. ZZ-3 with cheap TRW forged pistons. I go through...

Re: Why is my car such a turd without turbos?

I would imagine the turbos kill power from the exhaust restriction when you by-pass the intake side.

Re: intake for "my setup"

Might as well get a Dart block and build a 406 to match those heads!!, or sell em and get 195's. I'm about to swap AFR 195's and a XFI 280 on my ZZ-3 (finally) but mine's not supercharged. I still...

Re: Miniram 355 Is now on the road

zz-4 rods are powder metal and stronger than pink rods and the arp rod bolts help a lot. The cast crank and 2 bolt are the weak point tho. It'll be ok if he keeps it under 6500ish IMO.

Re: intake for "my setup"

Miniram is prob best match for those 210's, but you're gonna need a bigger cam to get the most outta those heads. Stealth Ram will make less top end power, but is much cheaper than the MR . Got my MR...

Re: Stock snorkel intake vs aftermarket single intake???

The problem with the short style, the engine is breathing hot air from under the hood. An intake routed to outside (cold) air is always best as long as it's big enough and the bends are smooth.

Re: Anyone running this combo?

I agree with both of you. I won't see mid 7's with the converter I'm running. (only runs 7.70's now w 125 shot) Honestly I'd be happy just running 7.90s all motor. I have installed sfc's lca's (and...

Re: Anyone running this combo?

I was hoping it would run mid 7's at 85-87. It only traps 80 now. My converter is too tight (2800) but i'm gonna get it adjusted- eventually.

Re: 3250rpm at 70 in 4th?

My car turns 2000 rpm at 60 with the converter locked. So 75 would be 2500. Thats with 3.73s and 26.1 in. tall tires. Sounds like its not going into 4th.

Re: which stall size

If you're driving it on the street, you need a lock up converter. If not, at cruise speeds, you'll overheat the trans because you be at or below the stall speed.
