I have tried to be VERY VERY VERY clear at the caution part. If this was about a junkyard LS with a china turbo in a Japan car, I doubt that I'd get the flak.

It could be some rouge employee swapping parts...

Crank snout is press fit, clean it up(don't go nuts), make sure nothing is raised and press the damper on. If it's too loose for press fit, then nope. Your not gonna drive a super charger right?

This is why I like ARP damper/balancer bolts with the square center, makes it easier to turn the engine over for springs/seals/lash. I have one of those tools the Summit version, used it for years...

Also I like the idea of a larger single roller. FYI awhile back when I had the stuff out I compared the weighs, single chain is a bit heavier than a true double roller but not much.

Good points! Never counted or considered the amount of rollers but makes sense. I like them cause GM used them in the LS and while that's not the-end-all(unknown exact reasons) it's still a good...

FYI soak the chain over night, once moving/rotating oil can't get deep into the pins/links. I'm a fan of the single rollers

Ideally you check with a modified lifter that won't compress or weak test springs. You can find weak springs at a hardware store, the comp ones are too small dia for most valve seals.
