You said the original MAF was reading 36,000, and you replaced it. What readings are you getting with the new MAF. They should read 3,000 at idle and about 9,000 at 3000 rpm under no load.

I cheated and cut the gas filler neck with a hacksaw. Then when I reinstalled it, i had a short piece of gas filler hose like all cars from the 60's and earlier used.

Regal 301 is the Bomb!! It was the Injectors. I had not read his subsequent post about Bosch vs. Accel, and was in a time bind so I ordered #24 Accels.
The car screams again when you floor...

You probably win the prize. Three of the injectors ohm out at 16, two more around nine ohms, and one as low as 3.5 ohms. I guess after 229k miles, it might be time to change em out.

Update on the Redbird...
FUEL TEST: I hooked a digital voltmeter across one of the injectors, and set it on a AC Voltage scale. Then started the Bird.
Idling at 700, voltage = 0.6 to 0.8v...

Thanks Trickster - It holds 9 ounces of CO2, and the cheapest
way to get CO2 is to get it from a Paintball store (they sell it by the ounce). However, the local store does not have the proper fittings to get the job done.
