How do I install an air foil on my wife's 89 TPI Bird?

I bought an airfoil on eBay and want to make sure I install it right. It's pretty obvious where it goes, and the top is marked "top". The problem is that there are no holes in my throttle body to secure the bolts to.

Do the 89 Birds have a different throttle body, or am i supposed to drill and tap holes. Also, the upper and lower ridges stick up higher and down lower than the rest of the stock throttle body.

The Air foil has the letters API cast into it. Can I make this work, or should I send it back? Also, how much do airfoils really help??

Most of the ones I have see you pull the top plate off the throttle body. Then slide the strange looking nut down inside the throttle body and bolt the airfoil on. Put the top plate back on and you’re good to go.

I would use lock tight on the bolt.

The airfoil came without bolts, instructions, etc.

Therefore I am having trouble vizualizing this. Is there someplace where I can see the directions? Thanks Arlington A-ghost !!

Go here and look at the last 2 pics, I could not get to the airfoil that came on the car, it's in a box up stairs and I would have to pull the truck out. But I did get the TB and take 2 pics.

I made my own airfoil and have been using it for a couple weeks now. I couldn't bolt it in place but I was able to use silicone glue. It seems to be holding securely, yet if I want to remove the airfoil the rubbery glue will let me pul it right off.
