I did mine with PPG sunset red candy... they are red from all angles.

I also used this paint to tint the front fendor indicator lights red as well.

That makes perfect sense now that I think about it. I guess the only way to really run big brakes and stock scrub radius is with custom offset wheels. Definitely not worth it right now.

Neil, the car looks amazing... I have been checking this thread every day to see pics of the full car at ride height and it was worth the wait!

Can you post a few pics of the car at ride height now that the engine is in? I understand if you are saving the big reveal until it is all done though.

I've polished two sets for cars I used to have.... it is hard work, but looks amazing. Other than the performance benefits of a 16" wheel, the Z28 wheel looks as good or better when fully polished....

I definitely vote for polished... a hand fabbed sheet metal intake is functional beauty.... those perfect tig welds should be exposed for all to appreciate. Powdercoating would be a crime IMO.

I sharpened a stainless steel straight edge ruler and used that to cut through the nasty sealant.

When you put it back together I would recommend using clear silicone.... definitely do not ever...
