Well folks,

After sitting in the garage for the last 6 years (with boxes on top), I have decided to finally put her back on the road.

Here's the story.............I sold the car in 1999 to a young guy who wanted the car and I needed a down payment on a house. Well the car was stolen from the new owner and theives totally stripped the car down to a shell....no engine, no trans, no brakes, rims, rearend and oh yeah $20,000 in stereo equipment GONE. I bought the car back from the insurance company after identifying the car and verifying what was in it when I sold her.

She will be going to the shop tomorrow to have a new motor and trans put in. She used to sit on two flat tires (my low tech alarm system). Most of the new interior is in the basement sitting on the pool table. I have been collecting parts for the past two years and hopefully buy July or Aug she will be on the road.

Dom................It's at Ross's now along with my new motor and he is building a bullet proof trans.

It will never as good as it was bfore I sold it but just getting to drive it again will be as sweet victory..........

I am a new guy but just wanted to chime in.
That car is awsome!!!
I just now have enough money to get a 3rd gen(i think) and have been getting closer on a 88 vert. red. But the guy said today he wants $23000

It is original owner and in great shape but come on. 53000kms on it.
I would love the car but I don't think it would be worth that.

Welcome to the board.......you will find lots of really good guys who have a ton of wisdom.

The price seems pretty steep. Save your money and be patient. The right one will come along.
