Your best and easier LS swap in CA is the LS3 E-ROD swap, but its like $12-$15k dollars.

Re: Difference between cams in 87-89 and 90-91 305 TPI 5 speed?

DynoDave43 posted the correct info. There is only a tiny difference between the 89 and 91 camshafts, not enough to be worth swapping. The HP difference was from the dual cats and slight bump in...

Re: Does A TPI Base From a 1989 Corvette Work With An 86 LB9?

Really? I thought the 85-91 TPI Corvettes all used the same bolt style, the 86-earlier. The 87-92 Camaro/Firebird used the 72* center bolt holes. So I would think a Corvette manifold would fit...

Sounds like its not getting enough air? Clean the IAC passages (valve at bottom of throttle body) and then do the IAC and TPS reset procedure.

Increase timing in the upper RPM's by around 5 degrees.

Lower fan-turn on temps by 10 degrees.

That engine at the time was a ported ZZ4 heads, LT4 hot cam, headers, etc. It made 318 RWHP and 419 RWTQ. The T5 blew up when I started running 12's shortly after that.

Re: 5.7 TPI rebuild

Don't bother with Vortec heads on a TPI engine. The Vortec TPI base flows the same as stock and has little room for improvement by porting.

AFR 195 or Trick Flow 195 are the best heads.

Re: Best Manual Transmission for a 500hp 350 TPI?

T56 for sure. Or a Tremec or Richmond 5-speed. Either one will cost big money.

We have 355 TPI in SoCal making 400 horsepower to the wheels. 500 HP at the crank is not impossible.
