Why not just cut off the air tubes and weld the holes closed. I did that to my edelbrocks years ago and then ceramic coated them. It worked great.

Are SLP headers for 3rd gens rare animals? If so, I'd be inclined to leave them as-is and cap the AIR tubes. IIRC, SLP uses 304SS for their headers.
