no filter adapter needed . L-31 filter is a bit larger than a regular 305/350 . I am using K&N HP-3002 filter . good luck with swap ....

I suppose JB weld could work , or a threaded plug the correct size . I was overly anal on my swap . you can get a cover with out provisions for crank sensor . that's what I did , I removed sensor...

what you suggest can be done . cut off the cat. o.k. , have a muffler shop weld in a straight pipe . that would be illegal for them to do . they would be risking the loss of their license . the line...

drilling a small hole (1/8") allows air in system to escape . doing this allows one to purge/burp system with much less effort . us (really) old guys have done this for years . good luck ...

sounds like you removed the proper plug . if you probe the hole you opened up you will find coolant . over time a skim layer of rust will build up inside the block . it's just the nature of the beast...

they "are" slightly longer than the ones on earlier 350's . I don't recall the number but I got AC delco's for a 3/4 ton G.M. P/U . have been fine for me . good luck ...

I am running AC plugs for a 97 V8 3/4 ton p/u truck . the reach/length is a little longer than older engines . I don't recall the plug gap , think I used same as the old 305 . good luck ...

I'm not sure , but I don't see why not . remember the timing mark will be at 2 o'clock now . if it (the metal cover) does not have it in that location you will have to add one . good luck . cheers...
