The little pieces your talking about, do they a tab that has been bent over the head of a bolt. If so they are there to prevent the bolts from backing out of the hole.

My (Dyno Don) headers would come loose often, sometimes the bolts fell off completely and began to leak, so Dyno Don got a special lock washer (I forget the part number) that he used on my headers....

Actually some f-bodies came with dual cats from the factory and release and extra 20+ HP.
And magnaflow cats bolt right up and fitment is same as stock.

Check out this setup from Dyno Don. Maybe the best you'll find.
And going from 3" to 2 1/2" is very restrictive and will cost horse power.

In a dual cat system the output of the headers is probably 2.5", that what Dyno Don's are anyway, you need 2 cats that are 2.5" in and out to a Y-pipe that has two 2.5" inputs and 3" output and 3"...

I installed 4th gen seats in mine and I just left the pin in. the cushion on the fourth gens just pushed in a little where the pin is and once installed are unnoticeable.

Allen (1989GTATransAm) has the record in our local TPI club. 7.1 in the 1/8 and around 11.4 in the 1/4 mile. At least 3 others are in the 11s in the 1/4 mile.

Sure it will and if you super charged that motor and gave it a shot of nitrous it would probably get close to 1000 hp. So if were building a pure drag racer and didn't have the need to pass smog...

An LSx is completely different animal than a SBC TPI. My 305 had an under whelming 165 HP. I really doubt changing the cam is going to add 135 hp, the 305 just can't flow enough air.

I have a magnaflow on my car, sounds great but in no way would I call it quiet.
The quieter the muffler the more HP is lost.

I find it hard to believe you get 300 HP out of 305.
I get ~350RWHP from a professionally built 350.
Did have put it on a dyno?
