Today we lost a friend and genuine 3rd Generation F Body Enthusiast...
Troy Avent lost his battle with cancer earlier today. I am literally without words... I will post the information in regard to services when it becomes available. Godspeed old friend...

I was really hoping he'd pull through, like all of us. Such a stand up guy, and an asset to our local hobby. Very fortunate I got to know him. My heartfelt condolences to his family.

Troy was a great friend to all, with a hilarious sense of humor, and a sarcastic wit. He was always lending a hand to friends, because he wanted to help. The world lost a great man today, and we will all miss him.

Troy was nice enough to grab me some injectors on one of his Junkyard visits. He was also kind enough to walk me through the process of replacing my oil pan gasket and offer his assistance. It was always a pleasure to find him at Don's and strike conversation. His presence will be missed...

Update: I am in contact with his family in regards to coordinating a memorial event to celebrate Troy's life and the vehicles he loved so very much. As soon as more information becomes available, I will be sure to inform everyone... Thanks

I have just confirmed that I will be meeting Troy's brother who will be bringing his Trans Am out to MD Automotive early tomorrow morning.
We will be having a small memorial before getting started in which those that wish to say a few words may do so. I'd like to ask that those wishing to participate in the memorial please be at MD no later than 8:45AM
If anything changes, I'll be sure to let everyone know...
