Public Automobile Scales

Looking for some scales to weigh my car. I live in North West Orange County. Cypress to be specific. Closer the better.

Re: Public Automobile Scales

Find your local gravel pit, scrap yard or transfer station,be advised though that most of those scales will weigh in 20 lb increments,to get 1-5 lb increments try a local racetrack or race team that has a set of wheel weighers.

Allen
There is a salvage yard on Knott just south of Katela on the east side that weighs your truck full of trash going in and again when leaving, so that they charge by the pound to dump your junk. Maybe they can just weigh your car there. I'm not sure what it is called I haven't been there in years but I think it's still there.

Re: Public Automobile Scales

Thanks guys. I will look into the one on Knott. It is close by me. There was another one I went to before but cannot remember exactly where it was. Over in Anahiem somewhere.

Re: Public Automobile Scales

there is also a scrap metal place off the 5 freeway (STAR Scrap Metal), and they have drive up scale. Found it out when I went to recycle my old damaged hood a number of years ago. Weighed the truck when I arrived, emptied the hood, weighed when I left...

Re: Public Automobile Scales

I went by Shorr Metals and the price was $3. Also at the CR&R scales on Western in Stanton the price if $5. Thanks everyone. By the way a certified receipt is more money. However if you want to just weigh your car those are the prices.
