Re: 279 MILE 1984 Z28 L69

Only things missing are power windows, T roof and the original Eagle GT's (why would you replace them on a 279 mile car).
There must be a story to this car...

Re: New 1982-1992 Camaro Reference Book

Good book, but there are a few inaccuracies.

'89 1LE Camaros came with VR tires, not ZR (at least they did at the end if January '89).
I believe '86 was the only year with single side dump...

I think LAFireboyd nailed it.

It's just worn out hinges. Mine does the same thing.
It's something I've learned to live with on a high mileage, 35 year old car.

I'm happy with my Toyo R888R on my '89.
Definately not the tires for a daily driver though.

Looks like the exhaust pipe into the muffler got loose and the whole assembly rotated.

Another cool feature on this car though is no rear window defogger.

Re: Air cleaner help/swap

Considering the air cleaner on an original LT1 (350 with 6,500 rpm redline and 780 cfm carb) was more restrictive than the HO set up, you will be fine, and getting cooler air.
