WTB N64 original aluminum wheel spare (nevermind...mine is AL).
My very original 1989 IROC-Z has the N64 RPO code for aluminum spare wheel but the spare wheel is clearly steel. It is like new but I assume not original? I'm sure it is a long shot but anyone have one to sell? It is a very worthy car to use one.
Thanks!
Thanks!

There's 2 aluminum spare designs. One is the spoke design thats clearly an aluminum part. The other is a black painted wheel that looks like a steel spare.

If there happened to be a shortage of the alum style spare at time of assembly, u could have gotten a steel one.

The spare in my '89 1LE R7U looks like a standard black painted wheel, but the magnet says its aluminum.

I recommend you don't try to use it.......or at least inflate it for the hell of it and see what happens. Mine was FUBAR.
I don't generally take my 91 TA out of my wife's "rescue range" but if I do I have a suitable "donut" spare I can take, or just call a flatbed. I also carry a plug kit and small compressor....
On my 91 TA vert the idea is further complicated by the fact that the front and rear wheels are different.....so if I get a flat on the rear, I have to first move a front wheel to the rear, then put the spare on the front so the different sizes don't F up the rear end.
Then, where do you put the flat tire? Answer: Drop the top and put it in the back seat.
