Re: Rear hatch struts that won't launch the glass to outer space

So glad I stumbled onto this thread, and thanks to 91Banditt2 for compiling the above list of struts at Rockauto. I have the same problem as others, in that I ordered and installed aftermarket hatch...

Which Oil Pressure Sending Unit?

Hey, everyone.
I made sure to search the forums before I started this thread and unless I flat missed it (which is possible), I could not find what I was looking for.
I have an ‘86 Z with the LB9,...

Re: RPO code questions.

I had some of the same issues when I bought mine eight years ago. The engraved VIN matches the one on the RPO sticker on the console lid, so it's an accurate record of what the car is supposed to...

That would be mine, lol. Happy for you that the interior is still colored as intended. The rest of the car looks great too! Congrats!

Re: 1986 Z28 to Original Glory

I can’t put my finger on why, but I love the stock look, too. I appreciate these cars being lowered, but that’s not for me personally. And trust me, I won’t change a thing, lol

Re: 1986 Z28 to Original Glory

Thank you, I am very appreciative. It's a twenty-footer, lol. Part of it is me being picky, but it's got stuff that needs to be addressed. All in due time.

Re: 1986 Z28 to Original Glory

OK, so it’s been six years since I’ve posted in this thread. I’ve been driving and enjoying the Z, but it’s starting to need some maintenance. The shocks all the way around were bad, I could tell...

Re: what will your next 3rd Gen be?

Considering I sneaked the third gen into the garage without consulting the CFO, I think I'm out of the "next third gen" game. I'll just live vicariously through you guys. :driving:

So glad I wasn't the only one to do that! And an IROC and Monte SS in the garage/driveway would certainly ease the sting of any trouble you may have found yourself in...

Re: What's your story? Who actually remembers when these cars were new?

Bringing this thread back from mid-January. I've been a member of this forum for about six years. I've probably told my story on other threads as well, but it's so great to have a forum of people who...

Re: Stock Replacement Rear Coil Springs

Stuff like this is why I come to this site. Now it all makes sense as to why there are more front options than rear. I appreciate the insight. Thank you!

Re: Stock Replacement Rear Coil Springs

Thanks for clarifying. My confusion came from the RockAuto site, as they have designations like, "Front, Berlinetta, Sport;", or, "Front, IROC-Z;", or "Front, Z28:", or "Rear, except IROC". I...

Re: Third Gens make another Collect-Now Article!

I'll have to give that thread a search. Mine look as though they have some spiderwebbing on the front, so I don't know if they are good candidates for a refurb. I'll look into it, though. Thanks.

Re: Turn Signal/Parking Lenses

Very helpful. It verifies that I'm not seeing things, the reproductions just seem eye-poppingly bright. I thought I remembered the originals being more subdued by comparison.

Re: '89 GTA: Stay True, or Swap?

Very nice car. You can still read the "Automatic Overdrive" on the shiftplate which is usually long worn off by now (not that that's the greatest selling point of the car, lol...).
