I was able to do it but I was working totally blind.... And I also put the bolts in first, worked it down there.... Then had to feel my way around.... It such a blind area....and I think I did it...

Yep... The other one goes to operate the EGR valve... That thing mounted next to the distributor the tubes connect to is the EGR solenoid switch....

For anyone wondering.... The key is to unscrew the steel fitting from the intake using a crows foot wrench... Look it up...I broke off the brass fitting in the steel fitting... I was able to get it...

Didn't change any springs or have machine work done... but the engine did have 90k miles on it ..

And I did feel it in the butt dyno...the engine had more...

I put roller tip 1.6 rockers on my stock 92 305 and had no issues... and it woke the engine up... not a lot. But got it a little more zing ... didn't change anything else... would do again...

I had a similar issue on the quadrajet on my 69... Fuel spillover to primary bores causes the mixture to get super rich and the car dies... It can be high fuel level, bad gasket, or warped air horn...

Yep... You got it right... but there are 3 screws... one at the front, one at the rear, one under the trunk rubber at the front of the trunk opening.

Since I don't see anyone else talking about it... Take a look at the ICM... My 88 IROC had an issue with bad misfire in this same range when under light load .. changed ICM... Totally disappeared!......
