There's no way the axle being off center is related to the carrier or axle internals. Something is funky with the pan hard bar. Take a look at that. Is the car @ stock ride height or lowered?

Sounds like it may be a large SBC flywheel? There are 2 flywheel sizes & the T5 bell housing only works with the smaller one if I recall correctly. If this is indeed your issue you'll need.

4.3 is the little brother to the 350... so you'd need to do the same thing as if you were mating the V6 trans to a V8, custom clutch, V8 bellhousing, etc.

Depends on what type of LSD you have. Any clutch type LSD will need the additive, like the Auburns that would've come in the factory POSI cars. Torsen LSDs that came in later cars (99-02) don't...

If its stuck on there is probably already some level of damage to the threads. If you heat the nut it will grow & do less damage to the threads coming off. Make it glow then hit it with an impact...

Rear disc brakes in an 87 are junk, but the mounting flange is the same as the good rear discs that came in later 3rd gens, early 4th gens. I think 87 would be a 26 spline axle as well, later year...

Read the sticky in the exhaust forum, covers it pretty well. You'll need to remove the pump, lines, plug up any holes in the exhaust system, & re-route your belt & get a different length belt.

You can delete the AIR system, but it won't gain you much. Biggest restriction on that motor stock is the exhaust system, but you'll be limited by the heads pretty quick after you do an exhaust.
