Every Delco radio that will fit in the console is compatible with the UQ7 option.

The only Delco radio compatible with the Steering Wheel Controls is the "GTA" style Pontiac UT4 radio. IIRC...

By your description I'm thinking the P/Antenna cable snapped causing the motor to just run continuously. The antenna relay is mounted under the passenger side of the dash housing. It's a PITA...

No Problem Sc4ram,

Keep in mind,...... your radio is going to be ON now whenever you turn your key to START/ RUN.

The "in" power to the radio power button comes from the YELLOW wire at the back...

I've been inside the C4 radio a few times,..... always just to strip them for parts. ( I think I still have 1 C4 cassette radio left. ) If the remote head is just in need of bulbs I'm fairly certain...

In my experience: Some of the older (meaning 84 and earlier) Delco radios have a common problem with a bad display. In SOME cases ----> simply flowing some fresh solder on the display board solder...

If there is a fusible link ( I think there should be ) than it will be on the battery side of the plug. ( Battery- then Fusible Link- then Plug) The plug itself is the main power supply for the ECM....

Don't do that,...... just stick the proper 20AMP fuse in there and be done with it. If you've got battery power on 1 terminal of the fuse and battery voltage on the other terminal of the fuse,.....
