Most 23-degree SBC heads run between 5.25" to 5.45" long - some will be a little shorter and some a little longer. The AFR 210s are 5.33" long (measured recently).

Sounds like the coil to me. They’ll do that if there is a bad ground or on the way out. Double check your grounds and as said bypass the MSD box to rule that out. Good luck.

The part number on the heads you listed are for a hydraulic roller cam. The flat tappet heads are TFS-30310001...
