Re: T-top seals: 3m adhesive or butyl rope?

It seems to me (and from what others have said online) that laying thick beads of 3M 8008 doesn't work very well to glue things down, but yet GM specified in the water leak manual to apply it in such...

Fairchild seal issue/question

Hi, I have a set of new fairchild T top weatherstrip dry fitted on my car, but there is a gap between the body and the outer lip of the seal on the front side of the T top opening. Is that gonna be a...

Re: Firebird Camaro trans am parts over 40 cars parted

Hi, do you have a set of these stamped steel brackets that the plastic t-top mounts bolt onto? They also support the outer corners of the T top weatherstrip.

EDIT: Never mind, I found some locally.

Re: T-top seals: 3m adhesive or butyl rope?

That's true. Mine were 37 and the T bar was rusted. Made me think there would be more rust underneath but turns out that everything else was perfect.

T-top seals: 3m adhesive or butyl rope?

Sorry, 10000th TTop seal thread. Couldn't find an answer for my question.

I've seen it been suggested to use butyl rope instead of weatherstrip adhesive in the t top channels.
Seems like it would...

Re: My VDO Continental TR7412UB-OR install + STLs

I'm sure something like that could be done with enough design fettling. Not by me, though, I've had enough of 3d printing for now. If anyone wants the step file to expand this deisgn, I'd be willing...

Re: My VDO Continental TR7412UB-OR install + STLs

Since the new radio is considerably shorter and lighter, I almost omitted the pin from the final design. I'm glad that I didn't, it really adds a nice sturdy OEM feel to the radio as you push the...

Re: My VDO Continental TR7412UB-OR install + STLs

Yeah, It's more of an early 90's look; but there aren't really many other good options. Blaupunkt has a nice unit but that's even more expensive than the Retrosound.

Re: Is this decal correct for an 85 TA?

Huh, I could've sworn that I'd seen a 5.7 decal before, I must be imagining things. Either way I guess the car's already not original under the hood so it doesn't really matter too much.

Thanks...
