Fairchild seal issue/question

Hi, I have a set of new fairchild T top weatherstrip dry fitted on my car, but there is a gap between the body and the outer lip of the seal on the front side of the T top opening. Is that gonna be a problem? The rear edge is squeezed tightly against the body. The T top sits proud a couple millimeters on the front edge, even with the plastic strikers moved downward.

Did you use strip caulk to seal the weatherstripping to the body? That should keep any water from getting through that gap and going into the wrong places.

That area where it shows sealer is where you need to use butyl rope. The adhesive can not fill the gap.
