OK update. I just got the motor to turn over but it didn't fire up. There is 3 post in my starter and I had the signal wire hooked up to the wrong post. When I try to start the car it backfires...

Yeah the lights and everything work and the radio is pulled out right now. I'm going to mess with the car tomorrow after work and see what I come up with.

No the motor won't turn over at all and when I try all I hear is a clicking noise coming from the driver side kick panel and if I turn the key all the way on and off I can hear my computer click...

not to sound like an idiot but what is npt? I know some about motors but not at all great with modifying. but I would like to save money so the drill and tap doesn't sound all that bad
