fuel pressure problems on 91 5.7 tpi
OK I have posted before on some wiring issue I had and was given fast and helpful advice so here I am again. I have a 91 Camaro 5.7 tpi. I noticed that I didn't have enough fuel pressure at the shedder valve so I replaced the fuel pump , fuel filter and sock ( for fuel pump). Tried cranking the car over and still noticed that my fuel pressure was low. The pressure jumps up to like 16psi with the key on but drops immediately to like 6-8 psi. Is there something else that could cause my fuel pressure to drop. The fuel pump is a airtex e3210. The car was originally a 305 TBI and I installed a crate 350 tpi into it if that helps.

Did you replace the small piece of fuel line between the pump and sender. They are known to split and thereby reduce significantly the pressure. Need to use Submersible Fuel line for this part of the install (SAE 30R10 spec).

Maybe also take a look at your FPR...pull the vacuum line, see if it smells like gas.
But 16 PSI is about right for a TBI pump, IIRC...sure you got the right one?...maybe verify the pn vs specs.
Also check the dipstick, see if you're "making oil"..possible after wiring changes you have the injectors grounded, hence all open and dumping fuel in the engine...although I'm not sure a 45-50PSI pump would only get to 16 PSI if that occurred.

If it is dying when you come to a stop, then it may be your Torque Converter is not unlocking. Could be a bad solenoid, or a bad switch. Usually the solenoid.

No it doesn't die when coming to a stop the moment I push the brakes to put the car in drive it'll shut down but I noticed today that when I press on the brakes my check engine light turns off like it has a loss of power

Sounds like you may have some bad grounds. Are the ground wires from the ECM attached to the rear of the heads? Check all grounds.

Re: fuel pressure problems on 91 5.7 tpi
Grounds could be issue as well, cleaning and tightening them never hurts.
Airtex = crap.
Check that you have 12v at fuel pump at a minimum.
Jump the fuel pressure relay with the return line clamped off and see what happens.
Regulator usually won't make pressure drop that low since they get a small tear and leak vs. disintegrate. Same goes for a leaking injector, they usually leak, not become a fire hose.
Your car has a schrader valve not a shedder valve
