You could go ahead and replace the power steering with an aluminum manual steering box and save weight , also if you go to a racing style steering column and remove the big heavy stock steering...

I've thought of maybe doing a 350 fastburn crate motor or something like that. The 383 would be killer though. I also plan on swaping my 5 speed for a retro-fit T-56 6 speed.

Check all the wires some of them have fusible...

Check all the wires some of them have fusible links somewhere along there path going to the starter and to the alternator they burn up like a fuse also check the ecm/ fuel pump fuse if you have one...
