Pull the cover off of the console and look for the hole that is there for a manual car, it's huge. Automatic equipped cars have NO HOLE. Post pics and it is the end of the story here.

Just use the 4th gen springs. I just did the parking brake on my 99 truck and it seems to be the same style and components. Those springs should not be difficult to find. Yeah man, total bummer...

I had a complete donor car and swapped in the 4th gen parking brake cable bracket in the trans tunnel. Hawks has cables that work on 4th gen rears with the original 3rd gen bracket in the trans...

Hey thanks, I think it's the lump of the hood scoop that makes the spoiler work. Dose not matter which style hood either.

Are you sure it's a 4.8 ? I thought 4.8 had flat top pistons and the 5.3 had the dished and flat tops for the 5.3 H.O. What is the stroke 3 1/4 or 3 5/8 ?
