So you're using the q-form as a foot rest. Personally I wouldn't for fear of damaging the speaker (and muffling the sound) but to each his own.

Run the wire inside the car then lay the antenna flat under the dash pad at the windshield. Few guys here have done this and said reception is very good.

You'll need a barrier to absorb the rattle. Try Ensolite and Felt. Dynamat will help deaden the door (and help the rattle to some extent) but you need to find out where the "metal on metal" rattle...

Try using "FOLEX" comes in a white bottle. AMAZING stuff for cleaning and spot removal. Made the carpet and door panels in my old 87 TA look like new.

There are a few how to treads for removing the lens, cleaning or repainting the inside reflector and gluing the lens back on. Many guys have done this when they painting the amber lens to red.

Not sure what your budget is but why not buy a new set of Kenwood speakers or JBL. Just make sure the 4X6 will fit in the dash as some have fitment issues due to magnet size on the front drivers...
