How did you get the sale price? Is there a code or something? Looks like they’re selling at full price now.

Hood adjusters are done nice with billet cup with rubber bumper. and billet base lock. above /\

for the guys who still have the fender brace. they make the passenger hinge side with the ear for the rod..removable..if you like./\

close up of the hood adjusters with the billet cups and locks.. /\

hood struts lock/snap onto a ball stud. for easy on..also all made in USA /\

Made with SS the struts are good looking US made parts.
billet finish is 100% us made with us made parts..

they also supply all the bolts to install the Hood Hinges../\ my set of the ball studs wer're missing from the box.but with a phone call they are sending a 2nd set..the way the box was sealed..they must of slid out. Over all.the set is Fantastic looking.with a few nice Touches..will do a follow up with fitment/install..after I get the hood painted.. ( or a carbon fiber hydro dip finnish)...

Re: Billet Hood Hinges FIRST LOOK! PICS

the 3rd gen camaro billet hood hinges from ring brothers are bad ***!

https://ringbrothers.com/1982-1992-c...air-frame.html

I put a set on my 89 RS Convertible, with the stock steel hood recently...

E.G.:

1982-1992 Camaro Billet Hood Hinge Kit - Air Frame U.S. Patent Pending

Finish

Natural

Hood Type

Steel

Gas Strut Finish

Black Carbon Steel

Now IF only someone like Hawks would start making replacement dashes for 3rd gen Camaros, seems like it's impossible to find a used one that is not cracked by a/c vents and one or more mounting points.

Whoever does will sell a million of em...

The instructions said "Prior to attaching hinge(s), the slot containing the hoodadjuster on the fender of the car must be made larger.
Expand the hole towards the firewall."

I did it with a dremel tool.

Other than making sure all mounting hardware was started first, but not tightened fully before tightening everything down and having a friend help with taking the hood on & off I had no trouble with anything that was supplied with the hinges.

The only trouble I had was with one of the existing clip nuts on my fenders was a little boogered up and had to be replaced, had nothing to do with anything supplied by ringbrothers.

Strengthwise alone these are far better than the jinky, rivited factory hinges! Which was my main motivation, the factory hinges and the repop duplicates of the factory hinges all suck, money down the drain... Ask me how I know.

A while back Eddie Motorsports was prototyping some, but they abandoned the effort for some reason. The ones they make for other models are great.

As far as I can tell the only billet, bearing hinges for 3rd gens available today are from ringbrothers. The form & function of these are great.

Re: Billet Hood Hinges FIRST LOOK! PICS

someone pm'd me for pix, so i figured i'd post em up for all... car is a little dusty but they still look good. I got the ones with the raw finish. I may get em polished at some point, idk.
Ring Brothers Billet Hood Hinges installed, 1989 RS Convertible Camaro, stock steel hood. Way better then the jinky stock GM one's or the Election Stealing, ChynaVirus Creating CCP #CHINA repops hawks & others sell made from recycled hyundai's.

Here is a pic of the black anodized ones on mine. I got mine alot cheaper though, as that is where I work in the body shop. We actually used my brother's 90 IROC vert for prototyping and test fitting. Just make sure to install the struts the right way or they will fail prematurely.

they're way better than stock ones, more rigid and hood opens and closes smoother, they also use bearings, and they look bitchin. I've always hated the stock 3rd gen hood hinges and struts.
