Re: Serpentine Belt Size Smop Pump Removal

My understanding is that the AIR is cold loop operation only. So it doesn't care what the o2mV says. and my car now runs great with the stock prom, no AIR.

Re: Serpentine Belt Size Smop Pump Removal

Whatever was recommended here was a tad too short. I had to forced it on there with a screwdriver pry bar. Wish I had 1/4" longer.; But I am loving the way the car runs without the AIR pump,...

N10 Cats

I need new N10 CATs. What fits under there & is high flowing? Not worried about the AIR tube. That's long gone.

I was thinking about CTS-V CATs, or Corvette CATs. They support 700 HP...

Re: 1989 350 TPI surging issue: stumped

Check the timing, and distributor. My distributor was so worn, it was idling all over. Then it didn't run correctly until I set the timing exactly at 6 BTC.

Sorry, plugs are not cutting threads into cast iron. Probably requires hardened taps with cutting oil to do that.

Re: Exhaust manifold install assistance

The passenger side has a stud for the A/C compressor support. Not sure if the others are bolts. Either way, I wouldn't worry about it too much. It's not like head bolts that need to be exact.

I'd only use stock OEM manifolds. I have had so many problems with headers, I'd never go back. and OEM manifolds look more original.

There is a time and place for AIR to be removed. That time has come as my CAT has failed, and there is no longer a NY need for emissions. So the CAT & AIR will be removed.
