At any point that 80 grit seemed to be the right grit to start out with the acrylic plastic T-tops were probably beyond saving for use as normal see though T-tops. You should be able to glue and fill...

The factory RPO CC1 T-tops on 3rd gen Camaros and Firebirds weren't made of polycarbonate LEXAN™ . They were made from cheap acrylic plastic. They were made by a company called LexaMar Corp. I think...

The F-body cars came with the JG1 aluminum driveshaft for US EPA C.A.F.E standards. JG1 couldn't be ordered as an option on a F-body and only came standard equipment with the 1LE performance package....

I just took the taillights out of a Buick Grand National and it had wingnuts that looked very similar to the ones in my 91/92 Firebirds and the GN ones had a foam rubber seal in a slight recessed...
