Yikes. Was it rusted in place or was it more of an accessibility issue?

Tell us more, starting with why you were trying to loosen the distributor bolt.

For whatever it's worth, I used an Energy Suspension poly mount without the pre-load plate to match the height of the broken stock mount.

I have no driveline vibration at all.

Looking for a shop to refinish IROC wheels.

Anyone have a recommendation in the NE Ohio or NW Pennsylvania area? Hoping to avoid shipping the wheels, but I want someone who will do this right. Back to factory condition or even a hair glossing....

Looking at a GTA. Need help ID'ing an engine component

Saw an ad for an '88 GTA and have been scouring the pictures online. What is this contraption with the red/blue cylinders? Almost looks like its plumbed into the fuel rail behind the throttle body.

Take the cap off the Schrader valve on the passenger side rear of the fuel rail. Attach a fuel pressure tester and follow this diagnostic chart.

Anyone know where I can get a PCV hose and a Crankcase Vent hose for my '89 IROC L98?

Both are brittle and cracked. I'd prefer to buy new, but I'd consider used if they are in good shape.

Based on what I'm reading in this thread, If I were in your shoes I would replace the FPR diaphragm when you replace the fuel filter. They aren't too expensive or difficult to replace.

Might want to replace your brake hoses. They can start to degrade internally and act as a check valve keeping hydraulic pressure on the caliper.

I'd replace all soft hoses and flush the brake...

You can press them in yourself. The tool can be rented for free at Auto Zone. Bushings are really easy to press in. Ball joints are a bit more challenging, but very doable. Watch some YouTube videos...

Used ones are dirt cheap all over the place. Buy a set, powder coat or paint them, install new bushings and ball joints and slap em in your car.

If your system holds a constant 50 psi with the return line clamped, the injectors can't be leaking too bad or you would continue to lose some pressure.

If you're able to get 60 psi with the return line clamped, the fuel pump is probably not the issue.

Sounds like the fuel pressure regulator is more likely the culprit.
