You need to track down the backing plates (pretty expensive even used but I found them on eBay). I found my parking brake cables online from a guy, I think his website is called flynbye.

yeah, I somewhat recently replaced mine with the plastic shell headliner and it definitely adds at least an inch of headroom if not more.

If I’m not mistaken, the crossmember fits exactly the same. I think their crossmember is made to fit a t56 by itself and then they make a bracket that allows you to mount a 4l60 to it. Could be wrong...

You should pick up good power with 243 heads over the 862 anyway. I’d swap to them if you already have to pull one of the heads!

Unbolt from trans crossmember and jack up the trans. Moves the heads quite a bit further away from the firewall

Check the 4 steam vent ports (2 on the top of each head) and see if they are leaking.

I personally have a Dakota digital gauge cluster. Pricey but worth it in my opinion. Another option to look into is seeing if there’s a gps speedo adapter and run a gps one.

You should have 3 wires coming through the bulkhead right above the rear end.

Purple=Fuel Sending
Black=Ground
Grey=Power

Probably but you could always get some 5/8 heater hose or however big you need to cut down the middle and wrap the lines with it where it touches. Makes a nice buffer

Lower hose I used a 05 Silverado 5.3 hose and upper hose I used a 02 v6 camaro. I have an fbody pump but the gates upper hose I got should have enough slack to catch the upper neck on the water pump....

From what I’ve seen, some regulators hold well and some don’t when engine is off. I personally use the in tank regulator with a 99-02 fbody plastic tank. IMO as long as you hold steady around 60psi...

It's close. Your driver's side head might be a little close to your firewall so if you have some leeway with the brackets you can get it closer. Mine has roughly half that much clearance.

Take your k member while it's out and mount it to the engine out of the car. You might want to hit the back welds in a little for more clearance. Give yourself like 3/8 inch clearance from the back...
