Exhaust suggestions

I need some help picking out exhausts. I want something loud but not obnoxious. I have an 89 trans am. I was looking at flow masters but wasn't sure of the quality, any suggestions?

Re: Exhaust suggestions

I ran both flowmaster and magnaflow on my 85 lg4. Love the magnaflow, hated the flow master. Sound clips of both on my youtube

Re: Exhaust suggestions

I have the cross flow 3 inch in, dual 2.5 out magnaflow. Not sure on part #, my exhaust shop ordered it all for me, their pricing was very competitive so it made it easier to let them order it. Summit, Rock Auto, jegs, classic industries are all pretty good

Re: Exhaust suggestions

I have used Magnaflow on my 3rd and 4th gens and have been very happy. I don't like obnoxious.

Re: Exhaust suggestions

My is for Hooker 3" competition series with the aero chamber muffler. Nice throaty sound and quiet @ idle but really opens up when getting on it. 305 TPI. I took a chance on this system ( and stressed a little) as it is not as well known as the Magna Flow and Flowmaster but I was really pleased with the decision afterwards. Got it from Summit and paid a little over $400 for it.

Re: Exhaust suggestions

The hooker blackheart has a really good sound, as does any 3" catback using an Aero Chamber muffler. Beyond that, I enjoy the Magnaflow I have now. Subtle but roars under heavy throttle.
