Hi I converted a tpi car to carb all the drivetrain is from a carb car. The 700r has only one green wire going into it, do I need to supply power to this wire to make the torque lock up? Thanks guys.

If it has a 4.3 it would be very easy to swap in a 305-350 easier than any 60 degree v6 all accessories even the water pump will fit

Just done a 305 to 400 swap, ported #370 camel humps comp 256h cam 10-1 compression it pulls like a train. The cam is almost the same as the one in the gm 602 circle track engine very pleased with it...

He's totally right I have a 85 z with a lg4 700r and a 3:23, I previously owned a 90' rs with a lo3 700r and 2:77 or something and the difference is night and day with no other mods.

Yes I plan on adding sub frame connectors and some suspension components down the road, I have a mild 406 and a 3 inch exhaust and a fiber glass hardwood hood going in and on within the next 2 months

yes the heads started life as 64's but have been milled down slightly, but all in all if it stays in the 9's ill be happy, if not i guess ill probably switch to a vortec head

the 168 tooth flexplate will fit inside the 700r4 bellhousing. 90's 454's and 6.2-6.5 diesels all had 168's and most had r4's, at least in light duty trucks.
