Re: I am THE VERY most desperate person here now...

Normal temp in city driving conditions and overheating on the highway- I've read that not having the air dam will cause these symptoms.

I thought all cars were girls, just doesn't sound right to...

Re: Hedman Install adventure

What headers are you using? Its sounds like the first time you installed them you didn't use gaskets? Gaskets are not required on manifolds but mandatory on headers. If there is a gap between the...

That statement is hard for me to understand. So does the engine turn over when you try to start it? If you don't have any coolant in your system then you might want to sort that out before you get it...

Re: Hedman Install adventure

I've heard conflicting stories about painting headers. I just painted mine with the vht stuff and baked them so I'll see what happens. If it burns off whatever, I can't afford ceramic coating.

Re: Not sure what to do... rebuild or swap

Welcome to TGO

1. What exactly is wrong with your current motor?
2. If you are considering a swap 95% of people on this board will say go with the 350 (me being one of them).

Re: mechanic bailed on me need info

I also say pull it. It'll go much smoother on a bench where you can position it to whatever angle you need than hunched over in an engine bay. Plus if you mess up it will need to come out anyway.

Re: Where to Find: Vacuum Tubing?

I agree very easy to kink that stuff. Also if you're replacing vacuum lines you might want to pick up an assortment of plastic fittings. They get brittle and crack just like the hose.
