Check fuel pressure, if the pump is going bad it can bog hard under load (when in gear for example)

yes from the factory there is a sheet metal "heat shield" between the muffler and tank. You may also want to check or replace your vent valve, this should be blowing off excess pressure long before...

ahhh ok gotcha... well sounds like you are planning on replacing those anyway, its one of those three things, so if injectors and FPR don't fix it, then you know its the fuel pump. you can preform...
