Yes, the bolts needed to be 40mm length. I had 50mm in there. So if 40mm is standard, then I guess the issue was the length and not the plressure plate.

The engine blocks are the same for the gen 1 sbc's, at least in location of engine mounts. Cubic inch doesn't matter, just buy some new poly mounts and you'll be fine.
