4 inch exhaust

anyone interested in a 4 inch exhaust off of an 89 iroc, has about 2000 miles on it. spintech muffler, has y pipe for hooker long tube headers that goes into a 4 inch intermediate pipe, and into the spintech muffler and out in dual 3 inch, i have quite a bit invested in this exhaust and just don't need it anymore. probably not going to build a car that need it anymore. i guess i will start at $350 or trade, possibly for a builder ls style engine. will send pics upon request.

Well I just bought a 4 inch spintech and headman headers so allb I bwould need is pipe. And I'm tired of everyone around here telling me it can't be done or they don't have the pipe or they can't bend it

Re: 4 inch exhaust

just updated with some pics, and 91camaroRS, you just looking for the y-pipe? obviosly it can be done, and if you would like i can send you some detailed pics and specs on it, should be easy to have your local muffler shop build, the one here did it.

I promise it can be done, bending 4" takes special equipment that very few have. I had the same deal, a friend bought a 4" Mufflex kit about 4 years ago and I wanted a similiar set-up but didn't have a grand to drop on it. So, I did what any good fabricator would do. I helped him install his, took some pics, pulled a few measurements, and...One night in my shop, and $300 later I had my own. I even built a crossmember so my 3" Y pipe would tuck really nice. I had a local exhaust shop build my Y pipe it cost $75. so for $375 I was done. and I also used a Hooker Aerochamber muffler with one sided 4" dump, looks sweet..My oponion for the money this set-up is a heck of a deal. Spintech is nice stuff and very expensive, so a free BUMP for a good deal....

Interested. Was your car lowered at all? I have a 86bird with a eibach sportline drop, any ideas if this will clear it?

87 firebird, im wondering about ground clearance, I have a driveshaft loop also. will that clear. Also it looks like it cuts over under the drive shaft. Very interested. I was running long tubes and 3" under the floor pans on back but it dragged alot, So im just curious about this also being 4"
