Re: LB Window Polish - Poor mans method

I used 5.5" pads (orange foam pad with Waterspot Rx, rayon glass polishing pad with Ceriglass) on a 5" backing plate on my PC7424XP in both cases.

I don't think the pad or machine is the issue...

I thought the old Edelbrock/QA1 3-point STB fit under the hood of the Firebirds? Do they not make that one anymore?

Re: KYB stut mounts

I think the Summit rep is correct and the KYB's aren't meant to have caps. I think the factory caps will only fit in Monroe or Moog strut mounts (which I believe are OE spec). But maybe I'm wrong...

Re: V6 VS V8 Sway Bar, ok or not?

John, I don't disagree with any of the materials that you've referenced. In fact, that's all very good info. I just think that you're trying to apply sound logic for setting up the suspension of a V8...

Re: V6 VS V8 Sway Bar, ok or not?

Note that the OP has the little 2.8 V6 powerplant, not a heavy V8. You definitely don't want a big heavy front sway bar on a V6 as there just isn't enough weight to induce enough lateral roll to...

Re: V6 VS V8 Sway Bar, ok or not?

Were they different sizes? Most likely. V6 cars got the smallest of pretty much everything the factory offered (spring rates, exhaust size, sway bars, etc.) You can physically measure their OD to...

Re: Cleaning products for stained plastic?

For the dirt and crud, I'd try a 50% IPA solution or diluted APC and some Q-tips. If those are indeed painted, defnitely don't scrub trying to get the dirt off. I'm not sure what, if anything, will...
