It should work, but you need to make sure the bolt pattern for the intakes are the same. I believe they changed it in 86 to the newer style, but i would double check and make sure. the flywheel will...

you can try brazing the crack shut. just pull the rail and line out, completely dry it out, clean the metal, and braze it back on with a propane torch. just take the schraeder core out when you do it...
