Re: 17x9 IROC wheels coming from Hawks!!!

Why? Just put a thirdgen axle back in. They're cheap! Also easy to put 4thgen discs on a thirdgen housing. There is a thread on here that covers it.

Re: Lowering 101

Rear suspension parts are all interchangeable from 82-02. Is there a reason for coil overs? Weight Jacks are ideal for most thirdgens in my opinion. Look to UMI either way.

Re: lowering question

For what you use the car for you should be fine lowering it the 1". Most likely thing you could need is the adjustable panhard bar to recenter the rear axle.

If you only "beat" on you car by autoX or road racing, a 10 bolt should last a long time if cared for properly. A better differential (wavetrac, etc) might be necessary too. It's my understanding...

Re: 17x9 IROC wheels coming from Hawks!!!

Current R15s are 17x9.5, an excellent size, perfect for a 275/40R17. The extra .5" of a 17x10 is so insignificant it's not worth it.*

40 - means the sidewall is 40% as tall as the tire is wide. So it...
