Re: For Sale: 1988 Firebird Formula in Utah

I have to say, as much as I love this car (not in the market just yet but if I were this would be high on the list), I have to agree with mrgto here; it really is a $13k - $15K car, tops. 3rd gens...

Re: 1989 Turbo Trans Am, Available in Pieces

Completely agree - totally stupid thing to do. Chop up a rare vehicle whose value is on the rise. Some people really are shallow idiots.

Re: repro dash pad - "OER" brand from Hawks

I agree with 82RZ; guys in the 60's and 70's never thought any of those rides would be worth a damn. Quite frankly, 64-73 mustangs I believe sold more units than all 3rd gens combined; if they...

Re: Heads/Cam combo

So it sounds like I'm going to go with either AFR, DART or Pro-filer heads that are somewhere in the 190-200cc range, the FIRST TPI system, and comp's XFI 268 cam for a nice streetable combo. That...

Re: My new bird, and my introduction i suppose

Good call. Hope you come down to some Texas 3rd gen gatherings once you're done with it. I see it still even has the factory wheels. Personally, I loved the look of the non-"deep-dish",...

Re: My new bird, and my introduction i suppose

Add another vote for stock! As good as it looks in pics, it's even more striking in person. It's been years since I've seen a yellow-gold formula; definitely miss it.

Re: Hmmm making 85-92 Trans Am hood functional?

S, not to be difficult or anything, but this thread has gone off course; the topic is not just about getting cold air under the hood any old way you can. The topic of this thread was SPECIFICALLY...

Re: My new bird, and my introduction i suppose

Lucky, lucky you. That is a sweet find! Yellow formy's are very rare indeed; which is strange cause they were THE poster firebird in '87. Lou Wassel was responsible for reviving the Formula model; he...

Re: Dyno Don 1-3/4" headers with AIR tubes (price dropped, 310 plus shipping)

Everyone always argues bout the advantagesof dual cats but there's a reason gm moved towards that setup in the late 80's on f-bodies and had it on all tip motors by 1990; more hp. Just like don said....

Re: Aftermarket GTA look-alikes...

I guess I should clarify; I am thinking of wheels that are currently being produced. It's crazy that there are soooooooo many variations of 5-point wheels out there but almost nothing like the lace.

Aftermarket GTA look-alikes...

Looking for recommendation on aftermarket rims that look closest to GTA cross-laced rims (prefer gold) but come in 17 or 18 inch sizes. Thanks all.

Re: Heads/Cam combo

Re: Dyno Don 1-3/4" headers with AIR tubes (price dropped, 310 plus shipping)
