I have some spark knock/retardation at 3000RPM with partial throttle. I'm thinking its a false knock. WOT it is fine....

Yea that decal or hood has been swapped, or maybe someone at the factory pulled a lazy move!
Either way, I'd definitely correct timing to be 6BTDC and replace that decal for future smog endeavors.

For OEM replacement pumps Delpi and Bosch are fantastic. Avoid Delco. Had had numerous fail in low hours.

Make sure your ignition is 100%, HC is unburnt fuel essentially.
Stocking timing is 6BTDC for TPI. You have a 383 and no idea what your tune is, if any, so those are factors. But stock is 6BTDC

No smog tech is pulling cams to see EO numbers, nor will they have any way to know it's cammed. If the visible parts are EOd and your numbers pass, you're good.

They are re-branded Monroe. So yea, they really don't last.
Just buy KYB Excel-G. They're the "OE" replacement shocks these days.
