Yup battery terminals are tight... i did do a slam test again yesterday with the new ICM, and the engine speed did not change at all, so maybe the circuitry in the icm was being chaken by the hood...

Ohhhhhhkay....

I'm still processing this all, but I just tried the screwdriver test and yes, the engine rpm dropped, and it went into this low rpm undulation. So that indicates the ECU was bad.

One additional test I did was disconnecting the battery for 30 sec to reset the ECU then starting back up, and it continued to surge and stumble immediately after...
