Problem is the 700r4 has such a low 1st gear then it drops alot to second then 3rd..the transmission is setup uses a governor to make it shift at max rpm unfortunately it's set to a stock 305 or 350...

We have a 3.54 gear ratio the car imo i think will benefit from a higher shift point from 2nd to 3rd car imo still has more on top then 5000 rpms.. lol only true way to find out will be trial and...

What do you shift at.. we found ours is only shifting at 5000 rpms leaving a little on the table she managed a best of 12.2 at 110 I want her to shift at 5500 rpms I think she'll pick up a .1 or .2 ...

Yes the drivability was horrible..never went wot to see how that part of tune was.. I'm much happier with the way I retuned it thru hp tuners..car drives great and performs better

Let me tell you something dyno is a tool good for tuning wot I just spent big bucks to have a supercharger installed on my 6.1 hemi and dyno tuned by a huge shop with one of the best hemi tuners and...

Car has never been on a dyno..but I can tell you 5000 rpm is to low of a shift point imo stock is 5000 I'd think at least 5500 is a good starting point if it goes slower I'll have her go 5400 etc...

Yes shifting might help I'm game to try that of course easiest too.. car has a 383 stroker, 10 to 1 compression, fully forged 4 bolt ,113 heads done by tpis flow 250 cfm lpe219 cam by lingenfelter...

. Think were hitting the track soon again that's our next test shifting 2nd to 3rd going to try 5800 rpms I still would love to modify a governor to have it shift on it's own in drive.

She is running street tires in the front i was always told not to drive thru the water box the front tires will carry water up to the line..as far as her doing a burnout i think.she needs to bring up...

I have a nice set of 91-92 z28 rims 8.5 to 9 in condition they were restored at one point prior to us buying them would like $500 or BO located in NJ would rather NOT ship.....
