After 6 years of age, I wouldn't trust those tires. They start to deteriorate from the inside and could blow just from age regardless of tread looking like new.

It's not a special edition per say, just the black & gold scheme inside and out for 1986, top options Trans Am, and low mileage makes it a very nice find. Plan on getting on of those in the future.

Cool, this '76 T/A was my Father's gift when he graduated High school in '77, and he had Uniroyals, Goodyear, and These Firestones on, he liked the fat look on them, Big Donut Tires as he calls them....

I wish Firestone or someone else remade the Firestone S/S Radial Raised White Letter tires I have on my '76 Trans Am. Factory size 225/70/15 or even 235 or 245 wide. All that's available for those...

Buddy of mine has a '95 Impala SS LT1 with Nittos on the factory 17s all 4 corners, 275/40 & 285/40 rear they grab well on dry pavement.

I don't know about during rain. It's not hard to spin...

I've never liked the GMMG because when you Rev it and it roars it sounds to me too much like the Dukes of Hazzard '69 Hemi Charger and it sounds cool an everything but I don't want the F-body...
