I like all the generations of our vehicles, but this collection puts forth the argument, they ARE the most beautiful of them all!
I'm going to have to think this one over a while before I vote. Congrats all above. Every one of them is a winner!

Re: TGO 2015 Car of the Year
Thanks to everyone that has voted for me so far. Since winning COTM in July, i have put approx 4000 street miles on the car, and ran the car well into the low 8 second range.
Just a few pictures of the car throughout this season.
At a no prep race
This picture was just before it went on the bumper, tried to ride the wheelie out for approx 400 feet but had to lift.
Took the car out to kelownas fastest street car shootout, a local photographer took these shots at a local cruise night a few nights before the race.
100' drag in Lethbridge alberta
The only video I got of my fastest pass this year. 8.35 @ 170MPH

Holy smokes! What a field of cars!
Anyway, looks like all the pics of my car got electronically vaporized. I'll see what I have on my computer at home and post some later tonight. But it does look like we have a commanding front runner already!

Wow, hard one to acutally pick a favorite. All of them are very nice cars. However, Sickness91Z28 has and will always have my vote.

Re: TGO 2015 Car of the Year
Here's a few pics I scrounged off my laptop.
I don't know what happened to all of the previously posted pics.? Did one of you guys hack me or something?
As many of you know, I'm the original owner and special ordered it in the Spring of '89. It was ordered with a G92 performance package, 5 speed and DX3 decal delete. The EPA held it at the Van Nuys holding lot and wouldn't release it for several weeks, because of a certification issue with the N10 dual cats. I had some poor guy at the plant go out and check on it every couple days. I wish I still remembered his name, I'd send him an Edible Arrangement or something.
I bought it to use as a daily driver, but then decided I didn't want to take it to work and risk a door ding and then winter came and there was no way I was driving it in the snow and salt. My old Omni GLH soldiered on as my daily for a few more years. I was >this< close to ordering a 1LE, but figured it was about time I stopped showing up to work sweaty and needed AC. Who knew that it would never, ever, take me to work, not even once.
Anyway, good luck to all the entrants. There isn't one car here I wouldn't want to own!
Here I am the day I picked it up. Man, was I pissed when I saw that they drilled my grill insert for a plate bracket, when I expressly asked them not to. A new one was ordered from the parts dept., minutes before this photo.

Re: TGO 2015 Car of the Year
I do find myself attracted to cars like Dyno Daves '88 T/A, for example. Usually I go for cars with a stick or more performance oriented options, but Dave's Trans Am is so cool to me, looks so cool and has a cool story. Gotta love it.
And Erik's Z03/1LE, well, do I even need to say anything?
And what a nice job NORTz89 did on his '89 IROC-Z.
I could go on, but I gotta fly now.
We've got until Christmas Eve to chitchat about these cars in this thread.....
Hope to see more posts when I come back!

Re: TGO 2015 Car of the Year
Thanks to everyone so far! Everyone here has bada** cars!
Thought I'd post up a couple more videos from this summer.
Just out for a cruise, the car drive extremely well. I put a ton of street miles on it last summer.

Re: TGO 2015 Car of the Year
It was a great honor to win the March 2015 COTM with my TTA. She did not see much road time this season, I took the car to a couple local cruise ins and shows.
I have posted a few pictures that I took this summer. Good luck to all the candidates! Everyone has beautiful rides!

Wow! What a fantastic collection of 3rd Gens!
As I was when nominated for COTY, I am most flattered to see my car in the COTY competition. I know there as some debate about even having one, and thought the decision was NOT to do so. So I'm doubly surprised. Thanks again to the forum and COTM administrator who make all of this possible.
The full story and photos on my car are in the original COTM voting thread here.
https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/auto...tm-voting.html
And a few more photos I didn't use in that thread are here.

We continue to enjoy the car for pleasure driving and local cruise nights like this one, where a few like-minded enthusiasts gather!

Re: TGO 2015 Car of the Year
I really like Formulas, Irocs, '91-'92 Z28s, Heritage Editions are rare, My own '92 Z28 is Teal, but I've never seen a Factory looking road racer paint scheme on a '91, like on Players Z28. So I voted for him.

Re: TGO 2015 Car of the Year
I was talking about that with my wife the other day, that would be awesome if we were. I may try to head out to the Thirdgen expo this year. Won't be able to take the cars but would love to see the cars there and meet a bunch of you!
